Autochthonous Varieties

Podrum Vukoje produces the following autochthonous varieties:

Background

Podrum Vukoje has 22 acres of its own vineyards, spread over two locations. The Regal vineyards at Ušće – some ten kilometres from Trebinje, near the mouth of two rivers (the Trebišnjica and the Sušica) – take their name from an 1894 declaration by the Austro-Hungarian Empire, which determined that all Žilavka cultivated here would be delivered exclusively to the Viennese Court. Vukoje’s Zasad Polje vineyards stretch for some 20 acres along the Trebišnjica riverbed.
